Position Summary
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred Master's Degree in Gerontology, Social Work or related field, from an accredited University or Seminary; OR Bachelor's Degree in Gerontology or social work plus two years? experience in related field or a combination of experience and education.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to operate agency vehicle for frequent travel
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Windows environment with Excel and skills in database management)
- Successful in establishing and maintaining meaningful and quality relationships
- Possess skills in proper telephone etiquette, active listening, and assessment
- Excellent communication skills, including public speaking capability and the ability to relate effectively with people from all economic, racial, age, ethnic, and social groups
- Experience in conducting community outreach and public speaking
- Ability to become AIRS (Alliance of Information and Referral Systems) certified upon meeting eligibility requirements (training will be provided)
- Must have the capability to develop, manage, plan, organize, implement, monitor and maintain NCBAM programs and services
- Possess a working knowledge and the ability to network community resources and church ministries for the aging.
- Meets the general qualifications for employment as outlined in the institution's personnel policies
