North Carolina Baptist Aging Ministry (NCBAM) seeks full-time Regional Director. Master’s degree in gerontology, social work or related field; or bachelor’s degree in gerontology or social work plus two years experience in related field preferred. Apply at bchfamily.org.

Position Summary
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Preferred Master's Degree in Gerontology, Social Work or related field, from an accredited University or Seminary; OR Bachelor's Degree in Gerontology or social work plus two years? experience in related field or a combination of experience and education.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to operate agency vehicle for frequent travel
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Windows environment with Excel and skills in database management)
  • Successful in establishing and maintaining meaningful and quality relationships
  • Possess skills in proper telephone etiquette, active listening, and assessment
  • Excellent communication skills, including public speaking capability and the ability to relate effectively with people from all economic, racial, age, ethnic, and social groups
  • Experience in conducting community outreach and public speaking
  • Ability to become AIRS (Alliance of Information and Referral Systems) certified upon meeting eligibility requirements (training will be provided)
  • Must have the capability to develop, manage, plan, organize, implement, monitor and maintain NCBAM programs and services
  • Possess a working knowledge and the ability to network community resources and church ministries for the aging.
  • Meets the general qualifications for employment as outlined in the institution's personnel policies
  • Respects the cultural diversity of others, and strives to create a positive relationship
