K. Allan Blume BR Editor | Baptists heading to New Orleans June 13 2012 Every year I look forward to the early summer annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention! Catching up with friends... hearing the inspiring reports from around the world... participating in the business of the convention... breakfasts and luncheons... what a great time! There will be much to follow in next week’s meeting in New Orleans: the SBC name, motions and resolutions on Calvinism (pro and con), reaching the lost, mission endeavors and the inevitable unexpected motions from the floor. As always, your Biblical Recorder staff will be on the floor of the convention, reporting news as quickly as possible. Check our website regularly for the latest news. If you are attending the convention please stay in touch with us by twitter or email. If you are not able to attend, you can follow the events live by streaming video. Follow the links at the SBC Annual meeting website. Pray for the leadership of the convention and pray that God will be glorified in the behavior of each messenger – whether on the convention floor or in the public where our witness is essential. Note: Follow the featured bloggers on the BRnow.org website throughut the SBC annual meeting in New Orleans. We are posting new interesting blogs throughout the day in the upper right section of the first page of our website. I welcome your comments.
