K. Allan Blume BR Editor | SEND North America 2012 I’ve been attending the SEND North America conference this week in Woodstock, Ga. I was very encouraged to see the passion in the eyes of hundreds of pastors and church planters of every age. Honestly, I left with a sense that God is doing something very special in America. He is always at work in this world, but there is a unique wind of the Spirit that is beginning to blow. Throughout 40 years of ministry, I have longed to see the kind of cooperation we now have between IMB and NAMB. Thank you, Tom Elliff and Kevin Ezell! I have longed to see the kind of quality leadership we now have in state conventions and seminaries. I tell you, God is up to something. What is SEND North America? It is about penetrating lostness. It is about connecting existing churches with church plants. It is about focusing on the places of influence – the strategic cities – where the masses live. It is about praying for laborers. It is about revitalizing churches that have plateaued or declined. It is about evangelism, making disciples and multiplying disciples in healthy churches. NAMB president Kevin Ezell said, "...everything we do must connect people to the local churches and new church plants where they can meet Christ. I’m convinced that we can see a considerable change in the spiritual landscape of North America. I’ve got to think [that] every church is going to want to be part of that." Get started now.
