K. Allan Blume BR Editor | Floods, wind, fire and snow This week our attention has been focused on Sandy, the monster storm on the east coast. Its impact has been immeasurable, and its devastation is staggering. Millions have been affected directly or indirectly. For several months, we have been encouraging N.C. Baptists to pray for the national elections and the annual meeting of our state convention. Now we need to expand our prayer list to include the people whose lives are turned upside down by Sandy and the many disaster relief volunteers who will be serving these people. Pray for grace and strength to face each personal crisis. Pray that needs will be met. Pray for peace in the hearts of people in turmoil. Pray for the witness of the gospel to every heart. Pray for strength and wisdom for every volunteer. This is a good time to give, also. The North Carolina Missions Offering provides much support for N.C. Baptist Men, but not enough. Please visit their website now and make a contribution. They are serving now and need your help. Another ministry many N.C. Baptists support is the relief work of Samaritan’s Purse. They are on the scene right now. You can send a gift through their website, also. Please share in the witness of the gospel through prayers and gifts for the glory of God.
