Jesus is the hero

I want to share some words spoken by Jimmy Scroggins in this week's newsletter. Scroggins is pastor of Family Church in West Palm Beach, Fla., and he was the keynote speaker for this year's Disciple Making Conference.

“The hero of every story in the Bible is Jesus," Scroggins said. "The hero of your church can’t be you. The hero of my church can’t be me. You and I are put here to point people to Jesus.”

Scroggins listed five things leaders must do:

1) See what others won't see.
2) Feel what others won't feel.
3) Believe what others won't believe.
4) Take what others won't take.
5) Finish what others won't finish.
