Southern Baptists have a long legacy of missions

Did you know the North American Mission Board (NAMB) and International Mission Board (IMB) are celebrating 175 years of commitment to the Great Commission?

The founding of the two missions organizations in 1845 – then under different names – signaled a momentous shift in missions strategy. The cooperative effort became one of the premiere missions initiatives in the world.

“I am so grateful for the faithfulness and sacrifice of millions of Southern Baptists over the years who have supported these mission efforts and made their continuation possible,” NAMB president Kevin Ezell told Baptist Press.

The IMB created an interactive timeline that is packed with information. Share the resources with your church. Pray that God will continue to bless these efforts to make Christ known around the globe. We are better together.
