K. Allan Blume BR Editor | Baptists address abuse In breaking news this week, the search committee for Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary’s (SWBTS) next president announced their candidate Monday morning. The Biblical Recorder was one of the first outlets to post this important news. As a graduate of SWBTS, I am pleased to hear that Adam Greenway will be presented to the seminary’s trustees at a called meeting next week. The search committee had a challenging responsibility. I believe they made a wise, discerning choice. Pray for the trustees, Greenway and all of the school’s faculty as they move forward. You will be blessed to read this story about Sam James, a retired missionary who is a heralded hero in Baptist life. He captivated the state convention’s staff a few weeks ago in his message to the group. If you really want to be blessed, read his new book, The Making of a Servant, with a forward by J.D. Greear. Don’t miss this book!! Thank you for your depending on your Biblical Recorder for news and information with a Christian worldview. People need to know!
