K. Allan Blume BR Editor | Praying for people and resources Sunday begins the week of prayer for our international missionaries and for the resources they need to take the gospel to unreached people around the world. This week’s edition of the Biblical Recorder has information to guide you through this season of prayer. The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions (LMCO) launches every year with this week of prayer. Your church will likely provide you with a prayer guide, also. Pray for our mission personnel and pray that the rest of us will give generously to support these outstanding missionaries. As we have done in the past, this week’s Recorder lists two categories of the 50 churches in North Carolina that gave (1) the most dollars to last year’s LMCO and (2) the churches whose per capita gifts were the highest in the state. Click here to read my editorial, then click here (or on the link in the editorial) to see the published list of these churches. We commend them for their strong example of biblical generosity. We commend everyone who gives sacrificially to international missions. Most of the proceedings from the recent annual meeting are covered in this week’s Biblical Recorder – but not all of it. More will be included in the next issue of the BR. The gathering of North Carolina Baptists in Greensboro two weeks ago was significant. As you read the stories, pray that we will be increasingly effective in reaching the nations that live in North Carolina. Please consider a gift subscription of the Biblical Recorder to a friend this Christmas. This will bless them for a full year – and more! Click here to send that gift now. Thank you for your support!
