Cameron McGill, president of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina (BSC), announced he will not seek a second term as convention president. Since first vice president Joel Stephens said he will be nominated for a second term in his current office, there is no incumbency for the president’s office. At the same time, Lee Pigg, pastor of Hopewell Baptist Church in Monroe, has announced his candidacy for the office of president.
