K. Allan Blume BR Editor | Pastor/Staff appreciation month Recovery teams continue to serve in communities where Hurricane Florence dumped her destructive rains four weeks ago. The responses of churches and individuals has been very sacrificial and generous. Richard Brunson, director of N.C. Baptists on Mission, said volunteers will be needed for a very long time. Keep praying for the workers who are serving and for more volunteers to join the disaster relief teams. It’s never too late to give to the North Carolina Missions Offering through your church. As a reminder, this Fri., Oct. 12 is the last day to register to vote. Early voting begins next Wed., Oct. 17 and ends Sat., Nov. 3. Election day is Tues., Nov. 6. For more details about voting and information on candidates for public office, click here. Do you have your messenger credentials for annual meeting? Now is the time for churches to elect messengers for the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina’s meeting in Greensboro, Nov. 5-6. You've probably read the announcement about my plans to retire next May. I will say more about that another time, but I want our readers to know that I have enjoyed my service as your editor, and I still believe strongly in the mission and vision of the Biblical Recorder.
