K. Allan Blume BR Editor | New digital edition Information overload could almost be labeled as a serious disease in today’s culture. We crave some information that is fired from the cannons of the media. On the other hand, some of the information tsunami is an unwelcome intrusion. Some of it is good; some is bad. Some is accurate; some is distorted, even false. Where are the people in your church getting their news and information? Are they getting the truth? Is it edifying or destructive? If they are not in touch with the services we provide through the Biblical Recorder, they are missing important information that could make your church stronger and more effective in Kingdom ministry. Tomorrow, August 1, marks another milestone in the communications history of the Biblical Recorder. For 180 years the Recorder has been the primary source of news and information for North Carolina Baptists. About 15 years ago the printed newspaper expanded to the World Wide Web. Three years ago we added Facebook and Twitter. Last year we launched this weekly e-newsletter. Now we are introducing a digital online version of the printed Biblical Recorder to provide every possible means to deliver trusted news and information to our Kingdom partners. We are committed to providing material that will assist pastors, church leaders and church members in your God-called ministry. We exist to be your trusted source for news and information. We believe people need to know! To learn more about the launch of the digital edition, read my column in this week’s Biblical Recorder. Thank you for sharing the Recorder with your friends.
