K. Allan Blume BR Editor | Resurrection proclaims LIFE The God who created life saw man lose the full dimensions of that life when Adam and Eve succumbed to the temptation of sin. This God of grace and mercy sent His only Son with the message, "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (John 10:10b). This Son, Jesus Christ, said, "I am the way the truth and the life..." (John 14:6a) and "I am the resurrection and the life" (John 11:25a). Then He willingly died on a cross and resurrected to life three days later. Jesus conquered death and to restore life to all who will confess sin and fully trust Him as their Savior. This amazing sacrifice of Jesus did not launch a religion. It introduced a relationship – one that was broken by sin, but now restored by the gift of God’s grace. This is a message that we proclaim to a world that is over-saturated with religions. For thousands of years, mankind has established millions of religions, trying to build a bridge to God. No man or woman has been successful. It is ironic that last week the United States Senate completed the process of confirming a new pro-LIFE judge for a seat on the Supreme Court. This week Judge Neil Gorsuch was sworn in. This is a week to celebrate LIFE. This is a good time to acknowledge that God has shown His mercy to our wicked nation. I pray this step will lead to saving the lives of millions of unborn children. Have a powerful, awesome day of worship this Sunday! |
