K. Allan Blume BR Editor | The Creation Museum and the N.C. Convention Last month Pam and I accepted an invitation from Ken Ham, founder of the Answers in Genesis and the Creation Museum, to be his guest at the museum in Petersburg, Ky. We were honored to spend the day with Ham and Mark Looy, Chief Communications Officer of the ministry. We were impressed, to say the least. As you read the story I wrote about the museum in this week’s Biblical Recorder, please know that I wrote a fraction of what should be said about the broad reach of this organization. They are proclaiming the gospel through billboards in the heart of New York, through information absorbed by museum guests, in their radio broadcasts, through the dissemination of biblical teaching materials and many other tools. Many Baptist churches in N.C. have used their VBS materials and Bible study curriculum. Schedule a time to take your family to the museum, and in a few years you’ll want to visit the Ark Encounter project – a full scale reconstruction of Noah’s ark. It will be breathtaking. I look forward to seeing you at the annual meeting of the Baptist State Convention of N.C. next week in Greensboro. The information in the Recorder will help you get prepared for the meetings. This week we printed stories about two new candidates for offices in the Pastors’ Conference. Also, we’ve added a Q & A with the two candidates for second vice president of the convention. Read that story here. I hope to see you at the Biblical Recorder's booth next week! Come by to register for one of the 20 gifts we will be giving away including an Apple iPad Mini and a Kindle Fire HD. Click here to learn more about these prizes. Visit us on Facebook and "like" us!
