In 2 Corinthians 5:17 Paul writes about the wonderful, life-transforming power of the gospel.

He says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

The gospel of Jesus Christ changes us, taking us from a life controlled by sin and fleshly desires to a life led by the Holy Spirit, to a life driven by a desire to know God and to honor Him.

As North Carolina Baptists, I pray that we are daily motivated by the love of Christ to share His gospel with others.

More than 5.6 million people in North Carolina do not know Jesus Christ as Savior, and we want everyone to become a new creation in Christ.

One way you can help share Jesus with others is through supporting the North Carolina Missions Offering (NCMO). The ministries supported by this offering are dedicated to transforming lives through the gospel.
Our NCMO theme verse this year is 2 Corinthians 5:17 and our theme is “Radically transformed: Hearts, lives, communities.”

The NCMO helps make possible new church plants. Last year the Baptist State Convention supported more than 100 church planters and helped start 89 new churches.

These churches are reaching ethnic groups and are making an impact among unchurched communities.
This offering also supports the work of North Carolina Baptist Men.

From disaster relief to medical/dental clinics to mission camps, N.C. Baptist Men volunteers serve all across this state and throughout the world.

Last year, N.C. Baptist Men volunteers responded to 19 significant disasters – a record year for disasters – and completed 3,437 projects.

The two mobile medical/dental clinics provided care to more than 3,100 people last year. The clinics were held in 158 locations across the state in 2011.

A portion of the NCMO is divided among our local associations.

We have seen associations use NCMO funds in a variety of ways to share the gospel, from feeding hungry people to ministering to refugees to hosting community block parties.

If you would like free resources to help you share about the NCMO with your church, such as videos, brochures, bulletin inserts and PowerPoints, please visit ncmissionsoffering.org. You can also request that one of our convention staff come to your church to share more about this offering and all that it does to impact the Kingdom.

We would be delighted and honored to visit your church.

A prayer guide is also available to you on this website. We are asking N.C. Baptists to pray for the ministries and missions efforts supported by this offering. Most churches will make their NCMO contributions in September, but you can support this offering any time during the year.

If you have any questions about NCMO please let us know. You can email [email protected] or call (800) 395-5102, ext. 5539.
