Society Baptist Church, Statesville, NC, is seeking a FULL-TIME PASTOR. Society is a Southern Baptist church and a member of the South Yadkin Baptist Association. Our rural community church has a weekly attendance of approximately 75-100 members and guests. Both men and women serve in leadership roles throughout the church. We desire a community-minded, seminary-trained pastor with a minimum of five years of experience, who can help grow our children’s and youth ministries, and can communicate well with all age groups. The pastor should be a leader and be a well-versed speaker who can keep the congregation engaged during worship services and Bible studies. Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church (FVBC) is actively seeking a Senior Pastor who will lead us in fulfilling our Mission Statement which is as follows: to bring glory to Jesus Christ by loving Him through worship, evangelism, discipleship and missions. He must have the conviction of having been called into pastoral ministry and of accountability to God. He is to believe the Bible is the Word of God and teach and preach it accordingly. He is to engage in compassionate pastoral care of the congregation, visiting the sick, bereaved, and those in difficult family situations. He will have a burning desire to reach the lost and believe in outreach through missions. His credentials should include a Masters of Divinity or Theology and have or be nearing the completion of a Doctorate of Ministry or similar degrees from reputable, recognized institutions of fully accredited status. His experience should include at least five years as a Senior Pastor in a church with staff and congregation similar to FVBC.  His background should reflect having had opportunity to engage in effective relationship with all age groups. FVBC is of Southern Baptist persuasion and a congregationally-led church, strongly valuing our historical tradition. We elect a Board of Deacons, committees, and ministry teams to prayerfully under take the work of our church.  The pastor is an ex-officio member of every group, providing watchful care and guidance as necessary. We practice the ordinances of Baptism and The Lord’s Supper. Membership is based upon a salvation experience, followed by water baptism, a symbol of that experience.
