News Brief: NOBTS VP resigns, interim replacement named
Biblical Recorder Staff
February 25, 2019

Jonathan Key, vice president for institutional advancement at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS), resigned Feb. 8 effective immediately, according to a statement provided to the Biblical Recorder by NOBTS Chancellor Chuck Kelley.

Kelley said Key stepped down “to pursue other opportunities” and Mark Hagelman, former director of development for institutional advancement, would fill the position while the seminary’s trustees continue their search for the next president.

Kelley announced in October of last year that he would retire as president July 31, 2019. He was named chancellor as a required step to initiate the search process.
