NASHVILLE (BP) — Cooperative Program (CP) giving remained 3.3% below year-to-date budget goals at the end of April, the same as it had at the end of March. However, CP giving in April 2025 was slightly higher than giving in April 2024.

Southern Baptists gave nearly $15.5 million in undesignated receipts last month, bringing the year-to-date total to just under $110.5 million — 3.3.% below the year-to-date budget of more than $114 million. Designated receipts for April were 12.12% below the same number from 2024.

• Monthly budgeted amount: $16,000,000.00
• April 2025 giving: $15,468,185.52
• Above/below budget: $531,814.48 (3.32%) below budget

Total national Cooperative Program giving:

• Year-to-date budgeted amount: $114,250,000.00
• Year to date giving: $110,474,314.95
• Above/under budget: $3,775,685.05 (3.3%) below budget

Designated giving:

• April giving: $12,341,436.25
• Year to date giving: $130,841,050.27
• Previous year to date total: $134,436,760.65
• Above/below previous year: $3,595,710.38 (2.67%) below previous year

The convention-adopted budget for 2024-2025 is $190,250,000 and includes a $250,000 special priority allocation for the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) Vision 2025 initiative.

Cooperative Program funds are then disbursed as follows:

• 50.41% to international missions through the International Mission Board (IMB)
• 22.79% to North American missions through the North American Mission Board (NAMB)
• 22.16% to theological education through the six SBC seminaries and the Southern Baptist Historical Library and Archives
• 2.99% to the SBC operating budget
• 1.65% to the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC)

If national CP gifts exceed the budget projection at the end of the fiscal year, the balance of the overage is distributed according to the percentages approved for budgetary distribution. The SBC Executive Committee distributes all CP and designated gifts it receives on a weekly basis to the SBC ministry entities.

CP allocation budget gifts received by the Executive Committee are reported monthly to the executives of the entities of the convention, to the state convention offices, to the state Baptist papers and are posted online at sbc.net/cp.
