OAK ISLAND, N.C. — North Carolina Baptists launched a new partnership with Christian Money Solutions that offers partnering N.C. Baptist churches special discounted access to financial discipleship resources.
The partnership provides exclusive access to the “8 Money Milestones” small group curriculum, generosity leadership development and, for each region, financial counseling certification.
The partnership was first announced Monday, May 19, during a regularly scheduled meeting of the N.C. Baptist board of directors at Fort Caswell. It aims to train N.C. Baptists in biblical generosity so churches can give generously, save wisely and live on mission together.
“We want to help churches teach stewardship and generosity, and Christian Money Solutions helps believers discover and live out God’s design for money,” said Todd Unzicker, N.C. Baptist executive director-treasurer. “We believe the financial resources God has entrusted to your church can be leveraged for the kingdom of God.”
The “8 Money Milestones” curriculum is a mission-focused study designed to educate and equip Christians about personal finances, eliminate debt, save for the future, and live and give generously. The generosity leadership program empowers churches to identify and train generosity leaders within the congregation. It includes access to Art Rainer, founder of Christian Money Solutions, as well as videos, action plans, meetings with other stewardship leaders and more.
Every region in the state can access Christians Financial Counselors Certification, which churches can apply for by connecting with their regional catalyst or by completing the “Apply for Discount” form at ncbaptist.org/generosity.
Rainer expressed excitement about the new partnership.
“N.C. Baptists are doing amazing things, and I believe that money is Great Commission fuel. What we’re simply doing is putting more fuel on the fire to advance God’s kingdom in our churches, in our communities and around the world,” said Rainer.
Christian Money Solutions’ gospel-driven curriculums and trainings are created with the local church in mind. These resources are meant not only to guide people toward financial health but to lead them closer to Jesus.
“The Bible brings up money more than 2,000 times,” Unzicker said. “That tells us it’s important for our pastors and leaders to teach about finances and how we steward what we have. This matters to our churches because it matters to God.
“We want to see all N.C. Baptists know generosity’s role in disciple-making. I’m thankful these resources are available to N.C. Baptist churches. We believe generosity is contagious. This is only the start,” Unzicker said.
Pastors and church leaders can visit ncbaptist.org/generosity to explore the available resources and apply for the discount.
