Blume: Prayer and repentanceBaptist State Convention officers to be re-nominated
K. Allan Blume BR Editor | DCC: The latest PC police Katrina Trinko, managing editor of The Daily Signal wrote an excellent commentary on the subject. She said, "If the Denver City Council is concerned about the morality of the businesses at the airport, they should take a closer look at two current occupants: Ben and Jerry’s and Starbucks. According to 2nd Vote, Starbucks Foundation has donated to Planned Parenthood, while Starbucks has been "listed as a company that matches employees’ gifts to Planned Parenthood." Ben and Jerry’s parent company, Unilever, has donated to Planned Parenthood. Neither Starbucks nor Ben and Jerry’s responded to The Daily Signal’s request for comment in July when asked about their support for Planned Parenthood." I hope the DCC will take time to explain why supporting "biblical marriage" is a greater sin than supporting those who butcher babies. This is one more pathetic example of the shallowness of "political correctness" (PC) and those who appoint themselves to police it. The DCC debacle is one more stick on the fires of moral decay in our world. That’s why I wrote this week’s editorial in the Biblical Recorder, "Prayer and repentance." Please take a few minutes to read this call to prayer and some stories that show how God is calling us to serious prayer. And please, don’t forget to see the movie "War Room" this weekend! It is worthy of your time and support. Click here to find the movie in a theater near you. |
