K. Allan Blume BR Editor | Associations celebrate missions I’m writing from Hendersonville where I attended the 140th annual meeting of the Carolina Baptist Association Tuesday at Etowah Baptist Church. Last year Michael Smith resigned from Fruitland Baptist Church to become the director of missions for the Carolina association. He is giving visionary leadership to the pastors, church leaders and churches. I’m encouraged by the fellowship and good reports I hear at the fall gatherings of our associations. Please let me know when your association meets to celebrate the mission work of local churches. I would love to be there! This week’s print edition of the Biblical Recorder is loaded with material related to the November 6-7 annual meeting in Greensboro. Take time to read about the resolutions, by-laws, motions, reports and other events surrounding this important convention. Remember to encourage your pastor with a special card or gift of appreciation! It's pastor appreciation month! |
