K. Allan Blume BR Editor | NCMO supports health screening outreach This edition of the BRweekly is literally packed with great material. Each one has great value for your ministry and the work you support around the world. First in the lineup is a story we published on the front page of this week’s print edition of the Biblical Recorder. The photo shows Crystal Horton bearing a big smile in front of a bus that houses the North Carolina Baptist Men’s health screening ministry. She loves this ministry and is thankful that God allows her to proclaim Christ to everyone she serves. As you read her story, remember your gifts to the North Carolina Mission Offering (NCMO) support all of the work that NCBM do around the world. They are serving throughout the year and they are prepared to deploy quickly when a natural disaster strikes because you are support their work through NCMO. Don’t overlook the articles on cultural and legislative issues in this edition. Mark Creech, executive director of the Christian Action League gave us an update on bills passed or defeated in the N.C. legislative session that just ended. These bills have a direct effect on you and your church! Also, read the story about a new podcast hosted by Alan Cross that debuted July 20. He is interviewing respected Baptist leaders that have something important to say about social and cultural issues that impact the proclamation of the gospel. In my editorial this week I wrote about Franklin Graham’s Decision America 50 state tour. The series of prayer meetings at every state capitol will end October 13 in Raleigh. I hope you will fill your church bus and bring a crowd of concerned people to the event. Do you have access to the digital edition of the Recorder?
