K. Allan Blume BR Editor | DR ministry continues Reports from the front lines of disaster relief in Florida and Texas underscore the great need for more volunteers. The devastation is horrible. Some have said the conditions in Florida are actually getting worse in some areas. We can go, pray and give. These final weeks of emphasis on the North Carolina Missions Offering are extremely important. This primary funding source for N.C. Baptist Men/Baptists on Mission cannot be overemphasized. We need to give generously to support this ministry and pray that every dollar will draw a hurting person toward our great God of grace and mercy. Special note to our readers: If you tried to visit BRnow.org in the past week and experienced a dead end, you’re not alone. The website experienced extreme traffic overloads that caused regular crashes of the site. The heavy traffic is not attributed to regular visitors like yourself, but to mechanical “crawlers” that work for major search engines like Google and Bing. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we hope this episode is over. Thank you for supporting the Biblical Recorder and allowing us to serve your local church! People need to know! |
