The Baptist State Convention of North Carolina released its 2014 financial report. The total was $28,829,536.74, which is $271,208.25 or .93 percent below the amount given in 2013.

BSC Board elects new leaders
This week’s BRweekly calls attention to a variety of interesting stories. The mapping project is building a foundation for much of state convention’s strategy for impacting lostness in North Carolina. This is definitely a "people need to know" story.

The first meeting of the new Board of Directors for the Baptist State Convention of N.C. is this week at Caraway. Tuesday night they elected new officers and filled all slots on the Executive Committee. Here is a summary:
Board President: Perry Brindley, previously vice president of the board and current director of missions for the Buncombe Baptist Association
Board Vice President: Mark Kinlaw, pastor of Southview Baptist Church, Hope Mills
Board Secretary: Ginger Brown, convention staff and member of First Baptist, Cary
Four at-large members of the executive committee:
John Mark Harrison, pastor of Apex Baptist Church, Apex
Lawrence Clapp, pastor of South Elm Street Baptist Church, Greensboro
Marc Francis, pastor of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Durham
Ken Jones, pastor of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, Lincolnton
