K. Allan Blume BR Editor | 30 Days of Prayer I’ve never met anyone who had problems because they prayed too much. But, I know a lot of people who faced many struggles from the lack of prayer. I’m in that category, also. Many of our pitfalls and failures can be attributed to the failure to seek God in prayer. All of us could use more time with our Father in prayer. In preparation for this year’s annual meeting of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina, a special season of prayer has been set. Beginning this Sunday, October 1, all of us are encouraged to spend time each day, for 30 days, praying for the lost in our state, our churches, our leaders and our annual gathering in November. Materials are printed and ready to use. A website is also available to provide prayer resources. This is a commitment to daily prayer. Since many already do this, adding the 30-day plan to your daily time with God will be simple. Others have let prayer slip into the background or have never had a daily prayer plan. This is the perfect time to begin or renew a daily exercise of prayer. I believe this is very important to the future of North Carolina Baptists and to the eternal destiny of millions in our state.
