Focal Passage: Romans 10:9-17
The worldviews that people operate under are always changing. What we are finding out is more and more people are not operating from a Christian worldview. There are people all over the world that have never once heard of the name of Jesus. I have met people here in North Carolina who know nothing about Christianity.
God’s desire is that no one should perish, but that everyone comes to know Him. If we are to confess Jesus with our mouth and believe in our heart that Jesus is Lord, we will be saved. That is what Romans 10 teaches. This is normally where we stop in the life of a believer. Yet it says so much more.
This message of salvation is for all people.
Paul says there is no distinction. God has a love for every person and people group on this planet to come to know Him.
God has given us a role to play in telling the world. Romans 10:14 says, “How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him who they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?”
Many people do not know Christ because we have failed to tell them. God has called us to be on the mission for Him. So often we think if we just “show love” to people they will automatically know we are Christian. However other faith groups would treat people the same way. God has given us a mouth and has called us to use it to tell others about Him.
