K. Allan Blume BR Editor | The Pastor's Wife A few days ago I enjoyed sharing God’s Word at a regional retreat of Gideons International. These men and their wives, who serve in the Gideons Auxiliary, are fully committed to distributing God’s Word and proclaiming the gospel to the whole world. They are also very committed to the local church and their pastors. One of the men spoke to me about his burden to pray for pastors and pastors’ wives. He said he is especially concerned for pastors’ wives, believing the responsibilities and pressures are great on these women. I really appreciate this man’s concern. During this pastor appreciation month, please join me in praying for the wives of pastors and church staff. They are very special women. Take time to let your pastor’s wife know that you appreciate her and pray for her. Pastor, are your church members getting the BRweekly? It's FREE! Help others be informed on issues that relate to Christian ministry, Great Commission missions, cultural challenges and news in Baptist life. People need to know! |
